Here we go into year two. Imagining what The Nest will be like in year five. This was indeed a special issue, with those paying tribute to you, and three past essays, plus so much more. I am always going back to pull up a couple of issues from year one. The recipe from Michele is truly comfort food at it's best. Should have savoured this issue, now I have to wait a full week for more. I can always reread it, and probably will. Congrats again!!!

Wonderful! I loved reading all the comments. An anniversary essay, two of my favorite essays return, (diners and beauty) and the picture of the bacon! Its really something wonderful and admirable and full of love. Congratulations and happy birthday!

knowing you has filled a void in my life. One that started what some 18 years or so ago. I was constantly aware of the void, or loss, but did not know how to fill it. Thank you so such for filling it to over flow, and for filling in the blanks., I hope that some day we might meet and make the reconnection just a little more real.

What a great anniversary issue. And the grace that all your readers sent. I cried!

I too, look forward to your Nest each Sunday. I read it Sunday or Monday depending upon how well my eyes are working at the time. Like Rick said, I am in awe of your honesty. That's prolly why you are such a terrific essay writer . You are brave enough to open up a vein. Keep up the good work.
Your friend
Richard
