Kateri:
Thanks so much for letting me be a part of this edition of the "Nest". It's an amazing feeling to see something I've written in this form, and yes, a bit emotional too! How special to have Rick contributing too!! You are full of surprises. As far as you not remembering things...I say your mind is so packed with ideas and emotions that there simply isn't enough room for it all!

@Karen, I am honoured to have your writing in the Nest! It is a beautiful essay and something to be shared. I hope you'll consider contributing again some time! Thank you :)

Mom,
What an honor to see your work in the Nest! I'm so proud of you and your writing. Great job! It's good to remember the past and celebrate the present and what is to come. Keep on writing and sharing your stories with others!

i hope you receive this, I seem to have difficulty in contacting. Love the story about memory, that has been my problem all my life, trying to remember names. I have to totally agree with your friend Karen W. comments about your wonderful crowded mind., keep up the good work.

@Kim, your mom's pretty amazing, but I don't need to tell you that.
@Elayne, thank you. Yes, I'm terrible with names, and also with appointments, even if I have written them down...because I forget to check my calendar! Ah well :) Hope you are having a great time in Mexico!

Kateri, It doesn't matter how much you remember because you certainly can tell a great story. I love it !!

@ Ruth, thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it. But really, I have to start remembering, at the least, that Tuesday is garbage day. :)

Perhaps it's because I am only working 2 half days this week, and not in physical therapy any longer, after 4 long months of it; but, I tend to think that everything drew me in and I couldn't stop reading. Nothing wrong with your memory my dear, so don't you worry. You just have so much to remember. We all go through the same thing, no matter the age. I think of Judy, who has a memory like an elephant. She will tell me things that I have absolutely no recollection of. Things that happened forty years ago. She has kept her calendars since the early 60's, writing down the most important things each day. Only problem finishing this week's newsletter, I have to wait
until next Sunday for more. Thank goodness for Thankful too!

The Nest always tugs at me, and now, more so. The switch to the black and white in this issues art is very tastefully done and much appreciated. Also, the addition of Karen and Ricks work seems to change the whole of the Nest. I love it! Bravo Kateri!

@Rita :) Thank you... I love the black & white, too! I'm so happy to have other voices. I dream about the content just growing and growing. xoxo

@Mama, I remember Judy's memory. I would love to hear some her memories from those days. Enjoy your free time this week! xoxo

Great writing, Mom - it made me cry too! Your past is my present and it's nice to read about your experiences! Love you!

Karen,
Hopefully I will get to "meet" you again via Rick's classes. I enjoyed your article and you and your family have been in my thoughts through the years. Mostly, I remember your sister Susie and brother Tom. (I did get to Susie's wake.) I loved your Mom - such a special lady.

To all the writers who made up this magazine, what beautiful writers you are. My friend Karen shared this edition with me, mostly because she is in it! As I read your articles, I can see why Karen loves going to writing class to be with all of you. The warmth of all the stories embraces one like a hug. Thank you for sharing with me.

To Maureen:
You are thinking of my cousins Suzie & Tom. Their dad was my dad's brother. You probably thought I was Mary Ann, their sister. We still keep in touch and the other brother, Michael, and I get together. Hope we can meet through one of Rick's classes - I'd like to hear about your history with those Schoenwetters! Karen
